Alden Black Shell Cordovan Cap Toe Boot

After a lengthy wait, I have finally received my pair of Black Shell Cordovan Cap Toe Boots. These beautiful boots are amongst the family of Cap Toe Boots made by Alden of Washington D.C. Kathy does her Cap Toe Boots special with Speed Hooks and the special Commando Sole. These mirror the 4060HC (Color 8) and feature all of the same basic specifications, including the construction around the Grant Last. Currently (at the time of this post), Kathy runs the Cap Toe Boots in Shell Cordovan in four colors, Black, Color 8, Cigar, and Ravello as regularly as is possible. Note that Alden San Francisco also produces a Black Shell Cordovan Cap Toe Boot, but theirs is made around the Barrie Last.

These boots sit in a really cool position in a man’s wardrobe. As a Black Cap Toe, these boots can correspond nicely with a more formal attire. Being a Boot, these can endure more rugged conditions than one may want to subject a more formal shoe to. Especially, since they have the Commando sole. Since they are a boot, they can also be played off in a more casual setting including the wearing of nicer denim. It really is a cool makeup that makes it naturally well rounded.
