Alden Ravello Tassel Loafer
Alden’s Tassel Loafers are about as good as a Tassel Loafer can get. That isn’t too much of a surprise provided that Alden invented the Tassel Loafer back in the 1950’s. Alden has a slogan about their Tassel Loafer, which is “Often imitated, but never duplicated.”
So, how can you make the original awesomeness known as Alden’s Tassel Loafer even better? Oh, I know, make it per the original design but out of Horween’s beautiful and amazing Ravello Shell Cordovan. Ravello, with its rich brown color and red undertones makes anything magical. That is exactly what this pair is. The always classic Alden Tassel Loafer, per the traditional design specs of the “563”, but with Ravello Shell Cordovan and of course paired with Tan “Antique” Edges.
This classic Tassel Loafer is made around Alden’s made-for-the-tassel Aberdeen Last. It features the Tan “Antique” Edges and has Alden’s homemade single flex welt soles attached to the shoe with the formal 270 degree, Flat Welt. This classic design, paired with the amazingly beautiful Ravello Shell Cordovan will never be truly duplicated.
